As the saying goes ‘no foot no horse’, and your farrier plays a vital role in maintaining your horse’s soundness. We work very closely with farriers and are passionate in the belief that vets and farriers must work as a team to provide you and your horse with the best service.
We are very fortunate in this area in that we have many extremely good farriers. Priors Farm will work closely with your farrier so that they are fully informed and involved in your horse’s treatment. We aim to provide them with as much information as they require so that they can trim and/or shoe the horse to maximum effect. It is absolutely vital that the vet and farrier work as a team.
We are able to provide foot balance radiographs at your stable to help your farrier with foot balance and will provide copies of the radiographs when requested. If preferable we have an under-cover and safe area at Priors Farm so that your farrier can work here at the practice.
We provide farrier CPD at the practice to help promote best practice.
