We are available 24hrs 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We offer routine appointments from 8.30am to 5.30pm on Monday to Friday, if your call is an emergency during these times we will get a vet you as quickly as possible. Outside of these hours emergency calls are covered by our pager company. Our office number is 01342 823011, if your call is out of hours please use the same number, your call will be answered by our out of hours service who will direct your call to the vet on call. It is important that the number you give us receives good signal and please try to keep the line clear until we contact you. If you have not heard from the duty vet within 5 minutes, please call us again.
If an emergency visit is required during normal working hours, a discretionary emergency surcharge may be applied.
For emergency visits outside normal working hours, an out-of-hours surcharge will be added to each visit. The surcharge varies depending on the time at which the client contacts the out-of-hours emergency service. A current list of emergency surcharge fees is available from our office team.
Please be aware that new clients, or clients with an irregular or unsatisfactory credit history with the practice, may be required to pay up to £500 deposit before a veterinary surgeon attends the animal. This applies to out-of-hours emergency visits. The requirement for a deposit will be at the discretion of Priors Farm Equine Veterinary Surgery.
